At 11.23 a.m. on 29 April 2021, the Long March 5B Remote 2 Launch Vehicle (R2LV) carrying the space station's Sky and Core Modules ignited and lifted off at the Wenchang Space Launch Complex in China, and about 494 seconds later, the Sky and Core Modules were successfully separated from the rocket and entered into the predefined orbit, while at 12.36 a.m., the two wings of the solar sail panels unfolded smoothly and functioned normally, resulting in the successful launch of the mission. The success of the launch mission signalled the full-scale construction of the Chinese space station assembly in orbit, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent verification of key technologies and the smooth implementation of the assembly and construction of the space station.
With a take-off mass of 22.5 tonnes, the Tianhe core module is the largest and most complex spacecraft developed independently by China. The core module contains a variety of experimental equipment, which can carry out aerospace medicine, space science experiments and technology tests. The space centrifuge provided by our company was delivered on schedule after three years of development and testing. We have completed the tasks assigned to us by the state with quality and quantity guaranteed.
